Cinnamon is one of the most common spices in the world. But the one we call cinnamon today in the West, actually comes from the bark of Cassia in Indonesia.
The two kinds of cinnamon are distinguished by their taste and also by their aspects: cinnamon breaks is a roll of bark, while cinnamon is a hollow stick with small strips thinner and more fragile than cassia.
Our cassia cinnamon sticks are hand selected, trimmed and the first bark cleaned to leave only a clean layer of powerfully scented cassia bark.
Aroma : sweet power
Use : Use a whole cinnamon stick to infuse in a hot chocolate, a mulled wine, or a liquid preparation: ideal for flavoring a sauce, especially sweet / savory, or even broth.
Grind or grate the cinnamon breaks to season a paste cake or dessert, or to add sweetness to your curry.
Origin : Indonesia
Quality : A, premium selection
Tip :
- Cinnamon Casse, like real Cinnamon, is a particularly effective appetite suppressant for sweet cravings: breathe your sachet of cinnamon at the top of your lungs, and zou, the craving for cake disappears !! If so, i swear! ;)
