Our dried lemon "Loumi" or "Loomi" is deliciously aromatic, with an intoxicating scent of sweet lemon. Ideal for slow cooking dishes, it can also be used in powder form to bring a lemony sweetness to Lebanese breads, rice or any other preparation.
Dried lemon is traditionally used in Arabic cuisine and also in Central America where it brings a sweet and lemony bitterness. The most famous variety is the dried lemon from Iran because its price is more affordable. We prefer varieties from Somalia or Guatemala for their sweeter flavor than that of Iran. At the moment we offer the Somali variety.
Aroma: Lemon, Sugar, Caraway
Proportion: 1 lemon is enough to flavor an entire dish for 6-8 people. 0.5g/person if you use it in powder (a whole lemon is on average 3g)
Use: Use a whole lemon in a tagine, curry or other slow-cooked dish. In powder, it flavors our plates in just a pinch with its lemony/sweet taste.

Our products are 100% natural and traditionally harvested. It is therefore normal that our peppers and spices are not all calibrated in size and color. These imperfections are due to natural factors such as variations in sun or rain during the season. Our products are not chemically treated.
Our products are packaged away from light and at the ideal temperature for their conservation. We therefore prefer sending fast courier to reduce transportation time. We thank you for respecting the conservation advice for a better use of our products.
